Sisanda Magala, a right-arm fast bowler from South Africa, has represented his country in four T20I and five ODI matches, taking a total of nine international wickets.
He played for Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the inaugural SA20, where he took an impressive 14 wickets and helped lead his team to their maiden title by taking two wickets in the final.
Despite his strong performances, the 32-year-old has not played any T20I matches since April 2021 and went unsold at the 2023 IPL player auction.
However, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) picked him up as a replacement for the injured Kyle Jamieson at his base price of 50 lakhs.
The IPL 2023 season will kick off with CSK playing their opening game against Gujarat Titans on March 31st.
