The much-anticipated Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is all set to kick off from March 22, according to recent reports.

Cricket enthusiasts across the globe are eagerly awaiting another season of the cricketing extravaganza, known for its intense competition, star-studded line-ups, and unforgettable moments.

The excitement is building up as the cricketing community gears up for yet another thrilling edition of the mega-rich league.

The 17th edition of the IPL is expected to run until May 26, aligning with the conclusion of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024, scheduled to finish on March 17. Interestingly, the T20 World Cup 2024 is set to commence just five days after the IPL’s conclusion, starting in the West Indies and USA on May 31.

With India’s inaugural match in the World Cup slated for June 5, players will get a well-deserved nine-day break. The tentative schedule, discussed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) with stakeholders, outlines the WPL’s second season from February 22 to March 17, and an official announcement is expected shortly.

Australian pacer Mitchell Starc secured a massive deal with the Kolkata Knight Riders, making him the highest-paid player in IPL history with a staggering INR 24.75 crores.
