NZ’s Colin de Grandhomme announces retirement

New Zealand allrounder Colin de Grandhomme has announced his retirement from international cricket after being selected to play for the Adelaide Strikers in Australia´s Big Bash League.

The 36-year-old was under contract to Black Caps which would have not made him eligible to play in the Australian domestic T20 tournament.

The Zimbabwe-born allrounder has played 29 tests, 45 ODIs and 41 Twenty20 matches for New Zealand.

He made his test debut against Pakistan at Christchurch in 2016 and since then he took 49 wickets and score two centuries in tests.

The all-rounder hasn´t played for NZ since he picked up an injury during the first test against England at Lord´s in June.
