Former Pakistan seamer Mohammad Amir has joined Kent for the second half of this year’s Vitality Blast competition.
The 29-year-old pacer, who announced his retirement from international cricket last year, is expected to be available for seven of Kent’s group stage matches.
“We’re delighted that a player of Amir’s quality has agreed to join us for the later stages of the Blast this year,” Kent director of cricket Paul Downton told the club website.
“His skill and experience will be an invaluable addition to our bowling attack.”
Amir played 36 Tests, 61 ODIs and 50 T20Is for Pakistan.
His first match could begin on June 25 at Chelmsford against Essex.
