BCCI announces India’s T20I squad for the Asia Cup 2022, starting August 27 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
India’s star batsman Virat Kohli has returned to the T20I squad after a break following the conclusion of the England tour on July 17.
The opening batsman KL Rahul has also made a comeback as vice-captain.
Rahul, 30, first picked up a groin injury and then underwent surgery. Afterward, he tested positive for Covid-19 and was ruled out of the West Indies tour.
Meanwhile, the seamer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the squad due to a back injury.
