Derbyshire have announced the signing of Australian all-rounder Hayden Kerr for the Vitality Blast until September.
The 25-year-old has been a standout performer for Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash 2021/22 season, finishing the tournament as the second-highest wicket-taker with 25 at an average of 15.
Kerr, who was named the Sixers’ Player of the Tournament, has scored two half-centuries and took eight wickets at an average of 29.12 in his four first-class appearances for New South Wales.
Kerr will join Derbyshire as a replacement for Suranga Lakmal, who has been sidelined for the rest of the season with an elbow injury.
