The pilfering of Ben Stokes’ bag at King’s Cross Station left him absolutely incensed

Ben Stokes had his bag, containing clothes and other belongings, stolen at a railway station. England’s star all-rounder Ben Stokes vented his fury on Twitter, sharing details of the incident.

The 31-year-old was looking forward to a relaxing break following the conclusion of the Test series against New Zealand. He was on his way from his residence in Cumbria to London, where he planned to catch the England rugby team’s match against France in the Six Nations tournament. However, his plans were disrupted when his bag was stolen at King’s Cross Station.

Expressing his indignation towards the thieves, the cricketer turned to Twitter to report the theft of his bag. The English Test captain penned the following words:

To who ever stole my bag at King’s Cross train station. I hope my clothes are to big for you ya absolute ****** 😡

It is worth noting that Stokes had an eventful winter season, leading England to a T20 World Cup victory in 2022 before overseeing a clean sweep against Pakistan in the Test series. The all-rounder also played a key role in securing a draw (1-1) during the team’s tour of New Zealand.

Stokes’ next destination is India, where he will join the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 under the leadership of MS Dhoni. The franchise secured his services for a whopping Rs 16.25 crores during the player’s auction.

Following the IPL, Stokes will face his biggest challenge of the summer – the Ashes. England has not held the coveted trophy since 2015, and they will undoubtedly be keen to reclaim it from their arch-rivals Australia.

Stokes’ appointment as Test captain and McCullum’s arrival as head coach have led to England’s dominance in the Test arena.
