England’s right-handed wicket-keeping batsman Jonny Bairstow has joined Melbourne Stars for the upcoming edition of the Big Bash League.
This will be Bairstow’s first experience in the Australian professional franchise Twenty20 cricket league and he is expected to be available after Christmas.
Bairstow, 31, has represented Sunrisers Hyderabad in this year’s Indian Premier League.
The 2019 World Cup winner has scored 843 runs in 43 T20 internationals for England.
The 10th edition of the BBL begins on 10 December.
